What Is
POS Restaurant?
POS stands for "point of sale," which refers to the technology used in a restaurant for processing sales transactions. This typically includes a computer or tablet system with specialized software that allows customers to place orders, pay for their meals, and track inventory and sales data. A POS system in a restaurant can also include hardware such as a cash drawer, barcode scanner, and receipt printer.
In addition to processing transactions, many POS systems for restaurants also include features such as menu management, inventory tracking, and employee management. This can include the ability to track employee hours and sales, set up different employee roles and permissions, and manage customer loyalty programs.
